I can’t understand most of the lyrics, I dig it though.

You really need to watch "Stop Making Sense". It's a fantastic concert.
Also look up Talking Heads Live in Rome 1980 on YouTube. Epic show.

I couldn’t be bothered to type out the lyrics, but you can find them here http://www.lyricsfreak.com/t/talking+head… :)

I learned about them through Radiohead. That’s how they named their band. Talking Heads is quite cheery compaired to Radiohead.

Yes, those bands are on very different ends of the psychological spectrum.

Awesome! My parents have a horde of records. Can you recommend a record player to buy? It doesn’t matter if it is old.

I picked up this one before last Christmas:
http://www.amazon.com/Technica-AT-LP…
A reasonable price from a reputable brand. If it breaks it should be easy enough to find parts. Plus I’m not afraid of my kids putting on/flipping a record since this one has the “automatic” option. (push a button and the needle goes to the edge of the record)
You can spend anywhere for a record player. (all the way up to near $30k:

)

Thanks I hope the technica has the warm sound of the old turntables

We’ve been pleased with it. I haven’t spent a huge amount on our stereo and I’m sure there is quite a bit lost in the crappy bookshelf speakers we are using. Though we spin records of all ages and all genre’s and they all sound great IMO.
